In Navi Mumbai, the focus is on informal workers, including migrant workers. YUVA Urban’s work covers the issues of social security, livelihood protection and basic services facilitation.
A Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) is the central point of our work with migrant workers. We have also set up a help line for migrant workers. With other sectors of informal workers, YUVA Urban aims to develop expertise in skill training and capacity building. Livelihood promotion and the issues of social security will form our leading theme in Navi Mumbai and will show the way for other interventions under this theme in the time to come. Our operations in Navi Mumbai will also lead state level advocacy processes and contribute to national level advocacy
